Perfect Block

Description

Perfect Block is a technique in Champion's Ashes. For a two frame window (60 FPS), the defender will benefit from an increase of 30% to their guard absorption and an extra 18 stability. After the window has passed, the effect is lost. As a result, perfect block requires precise timing to reap the benefits.

A successful perfect block is indicated by a visual and auditory cue on the shield.

Perfect blocks can only be performed with small shields, medium shields and great shields.

If the defender does not time their perfect block correctly, they will either get hit or block normally.

Attacks with block frames such as Valorheart cannot perfect block.

You can perfect block any attack, including spells, projectiles, attacks from NPCs or attacks from multiple opponents at once, so long as they connect in the two frame window.

Perfect blocks are client side; the timing is not affected by latency.

Video Demonstration:

This video is slightly outdated, as the visual and auditory feedback to indicate a successful perfect block had not been implemented at the time of recording.
